Green speed is measured with a USGA Stimpmeter on a level floor; on carpet underlay it rolls slower, and the product pages say so. The turf arrives rolled and is laid over the assembled base as one piece, so there is no seam across a putt. When it is time, the turf alone can be replaced: every standard model has a turf-only listing.
